  1. Hello there!

FYI, I am loving your blog, its sooooo helpful, so thank you!
i have a quick question since I’m kind of new to this “boutique” type of shopping :)
What are your thoughts on the website Chasing Fireflies? I receive their catalog all the time and signed up their newsletter. I looked at other sites and Chasing Fireflies is much higher in price. I do however like they’re selection. its just weird that they do not include the brand name which makes it harder when searching for th best deal to compare other sites. I basically have to go with the pic of the item then search for it via pic on other sites….frustrating! Anyhow, there is this particular romper i saw, but again it has no designer name on their site, would you know by any chance who makes this & where i can find it discounted possibly? 😉 Also, do you have any idea when and if any items from Persnickety ever go on sale? I’m obsessed with those red/white shorties! :) I go back to work in 2 weeks so i want to rack up clothes for my 2year old daughter since it will be harder for me to go on line or head to stores later on- what do you recommend buying on sale now, clothes for the fall or summer for next year? sorry for the long essay! Thanks again for all of your help!!!

    • I am so glad to hear that you love it! Its really really fun for me! I personally don’t like Chasing Fireflies primarily because they don’t list brands. Most often its pretty easy for me to figure out who the designer is by looking at it but listing a brand would be so much easier to know just for sizing and resale alone. I look through the catalog though and make mental notes about what I like. Some things are marketed only through Chasing Fireflies but some things you get get on other sites. Let me know if you are curious on an item and I may know who makes it. That romper that you posted is by Little Wings / Paper Wings which is based out of Australia but some US boutiques carry it. The funny thing is that this is actually an older dress. Normally I just google the designer and see what kind of sales I find. Here is a list of retailers :) http://www.paperwings.com.au/stockists.html.

Persnickety has some strict restrictions on sales but word is that they will allow Spring to go on sale this weekend! You actually picked a FABULOUS time to shop because Spring sales really kick off Memorial Day weekend (here is a good post to read http://www.newdaynewdeals.com/2012/05/state-of-the-shopping-address-part-ii/). I will have a Memorial Day sales list that I am going to post on my main blog http://www.NewDayNewDeals.com tonight and it will be updated all weekend so keep an eye out for that!

If you still need Summer stuff then get it now at these sales. There is still some Fall 2011 stuff floating around at great prices too! Fall 2012 lines will start releasing in the next month but will be full price for a bit! I preorder a few things that aren’t allowed to go on sale like Misha Lulu and Persnickety but wait until sales start on others :)

Hope that helps! We have a pretty fun group on the Facebook page too at http://www.facebook.com/newdaynewdeals if you want to join us!

  2. OMG, you have been sent from heaven! You have been sooooo helpful, thank you so much!!! I’ve been addicted to your blog btw! I placed a good order with Tea last night, I’m so happy!!!! Thanks again for all of the helpful information, btw i just received the Hannah Andersson items, and they are just excellent quality. Now if i can just learn to wash clothes better to avoid shrinkage would be great! lol

    Thanks again!!!
